Sicily, Casa Talia

I wanted to share with you my photo diary from my last trip to Sicily, which was my first time on this beautiful Italian island. It’s definitely my favourite country for summer getaways, because of the weather, the architecture, the nature, the food and very nice, friendly people. I was there for a week, which was long enough to explore the west and the south side of the island. First thing you need to have in mind while planning your holiday, is that Sicily is huge, renting a car is necessary to travel around, otherwise you might be stuck in a hotel which is often located far away from the city center. Okay, maybe there is an exception. I know one beautiful hotel where you can definitely spend a week without having a car (only transport from the airport has to be arranged – it’s 2 hours driving). Casa Talia, the lovely boutique hotel located in Modica, south side of the island. I felt like I was in the perfect place where I could live with my future husband till the end of my life, have kids, eat breakfast with them in the garden under the shade of the olive tree and just be the happiest person in the world. I know it sounds a bit unrealistic, but I guess you know what I mean. Some people might not agree, but a hotel for me is not just a place where you sleep and eat breakfast. It’s a place which makes the whole holiday experience unique and special, where the interior inspires me for changes in my own flat, finally a place where I’m creative and get big new ideas. A hotel not only has to be impressive but you have to feel like home. Casa Talia is definitely the place where I felt like home. I can highly recommend you choose it for your summer holidays.
