Late summer diary

Posted on November 9, 2014

A little mash up of holiday pictures which I took during my summer trip back home to Poland. Now that it’s raining outside and my breath steaming in the cold air, it seems like an appropriate time to share with you two outfits from hot August weather. I’m  wearing a dress from Friend of Mine and Celine platform shoes, the second outfit is Free People shirt & Levi’s shorts and the third outfit is Zara jumper, knit pants and Celine wedges. I’m also wearing very fashionable mosquito bites all round my skin, courtesy of polish summer nights. Summer please come back!

New York Diary

Posted on October 26, 2014

I want to share with you some Instagram shots I posted during my stay in New York last week. The truth is that only iPhone can capture the moment, because it’s always with us and it takes a few seconds to catch the right moment and take a picture. This time I was staying in Soho in Mondrian Hotel and could stroll my favourite Soho streets the whole day. I discovered a few cool spots, like Black Seed Bagels on Elizabeth Street with the best bagels in town ( nobody loves bagels as much as I do! ), Saturday NYC with a great coffee ( as they say, because I usually take tea) and a lot of surfer boys sitting outside on the benches.

I already have my favourite pieces from Alexander Wang x H&M collection. It is for sure this grey cropped sweatshirt and a black leather backpack.

A view from my room was breathtaking, on the first picture you can see my view while taking a shower. Then me and Jim in Soho. And finally a shot of pumpkins, because it’s all about Haloween in NY recently. Then early (sunny) morning in Chelsea where I moved in for the weekend. I feel like home in Chelsea, it’s much more cosy than Soho.

Last two shots. Sunrise in Manhattan. I always come to New York for a few days only, so it’s hard to change my brain into a new time zone. I wake up at 4 am and go to sleep at 8 pm. As a result I can watch these beautiful sunrises in NY which are always amazing. Then me in Soho wearing Alice x Olivia coat when the temperature went 10 Degrees down during one night. it was freezing cold.

Alexander Wang x H&M launch event in New York

When I heard the news about Alexander Wang x H&M collaboration I was extremely excited. Alexander Wang has been one of my favourite designers for years now. It was a huge pleasure to be invited to New York for the lanch party and the whole event including a wonderfull conference during which he answered many questions and gave an insight to his work. That evening the collection had its first presentation featuring parkour performance and Missy Eliot’s gig. In the end Alexander came out and run a loop track which was really sweet and underlined the sportiness of the collection.

For the evening I was wearing a sequined dress from Isabel Marant, Valentino bag and H&M x Isabel Marant boots.

Oh, and one other thing. I was accomodated in Mondrian Soho, one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever had a chance to stay in. New York, it’s always a pleasure! Thank you H&M for having me!

Golden hour in Soho // NYFW, Day 4

Posted on September 21, 2014

This is my outfit from the 4th day of New York Fashion Week. I was wearing my new Reformation transparent dress which is easily the most beautiful thing I have ever owned. The pictures were taken straight after the TIBI show in Chelsea. The sun was at that point in the sky that it was shining golden, so we just jumped into the cab, straight to Soho and took a few snaps. The light shawn through my dress and to be honest I looked a bit naked, but the effect was incredible. The weather was like that most of my stay, which was a really nice change, since I could go round bare legged once again, so summery! Also I wanted to talk a bit about my new Stella McCartney shoes. These were probably the most hunted down shoes I ever bought. They were sold out in every single department store in London and online stores around the world, and when I was about to give up, someone returned the last pair in my little size 35 to the flagship Stella store in Mayfair. I was so excited, because they went well with all my outfits and were super comfortable to walk in. And then a massive let down.. I got horrible blisters! They were so bad I couldn’t move, I was beating myself up trying to figure out what was wrong with them, and then it dawned on me. Stella is vegetarian and she never uses animal materials in her garments, so the shoes weren’t made of real leather. And that was the problem, because synthetic leather + skin = blisters and irritation. I’m all for animal rights but one has to put their opinions on hold when making something as important as a shoe to ensure it is wearable and doesn’t inflict pain. I’m really disappointed in them, these would be the perfect shoes if they were real leather. Now, I’m still nursing my blisters almost two weeks later.

New York dream with Marc Jacobs

Posted on August 27, 2014

Today I want to share with you my New York pictures taken exclusively for Marc Jacobs celebrating a launch of the brand new fragrance Daisy Dream. Daisy Dream is all about dreams, and since mine is to move to NYC, every time I spray on this flowery scent I picture myself laying in a flowerbed in Central Park surrounded by this noisy, amazing city.

We took these pictures in Soho during the golden hour. Sun coming down between huge buildins, shining in yellow cabs – it looked beautiful.

If NYC is also your dream, as I’m sure it’s many people’s, you can click here to create your dream capsule with pictures of NYC for a little bit more of dozy dreaming. If you are one of the girls hanging on to google images, endlessly researching Manhattan this is a place for you, it combines my dreams, my memories and my wishes all about NYC. Your daisy dream capsule will be sent back to you in one year.
