West Village

Posted on September 17, 2014

I came back from NY a few days. I had a great time during fashion week, not only because of the shows I had a chance to see, but also because I could explore NY better than one month ago and spend a time with my sister who I haven’t seen for a long time. I fell in love in NY more than ever. We’ve been staying in a lovely The Jade hotel in Greenwich Village, as I wrote on my Instagram one of my favourite area in New York. Maybe it’s because it brings me back Portobello and Notting Hill. The architecture is quite similiar, there is the same artistic atmosphere in the air and it’s more green than other parts of Manhattan. You know that flowers and trees always make me smile and I just felt like home in West Village.

Let’s talk about my outfit. I was wearing my number one piece from A/W14 season, a jumper from Isabel Marant runway collection I’ve been thinking since I saw it in Paris last February. It turned out to be super warm, oversized and suits to all bottoms I wear everyday, from trousers to skirts. Sounds like a perfect autumn jumper! This time I matched it with a simple black skirt, high heel sandals and a gold hoop earrings which I wear pretty much everyday. They give that cool bohemian look and brings my back this video clip. ( 2:35 sec ! ). Stay tuned for more pictures from New York!

London Fashion Week has now officially started! And which better way to kick it off than to get well pampered and looking fabulous. I paired up with Max Factor make up artists to create my own perfect fashion week skin look. During my personalised ‘skin session’ at St Martin’s Lane Hotel, Caroline Barnes, a Max Factor make up artist, showed me how to create a radiant, luminous base using simple products as Max Factor Skin Luminizer. It’s actually extra important during LFW to look good on and off camera so a good skin is crucial. Don’t forget to follow me on instagram (@alicezielasko) for more LFW magic.

I want to share with you some pictures I took in Paris during my last trip for Men’s Fashion Week. I had a really great time, as always in Paris. Actually I’ve never had any feeling that it gets me bored, it  inspires me so I always come back to London with new ideas .

I had a pleasure to stay in Le Lapin Blanc Hotel, a lovely boutique hotel located in the Latin Quarter near Odeon Station, just around a corner from Saint Germain. What’s more it turned out that a few shows like Hermes, Y-3 or Lanvin were located just a few minutes walk.

Also, there is a very interesting story contected with the design and interior of the hotel. This is nothing other than Alice in wonderland fairy tale, about Alice who inhabits this place in search of her white rabbit. What a coincidence, I can identify with this story altogether! Each floor has different colour, walls are layered with colorful drawings taking us for the time of a dream in the mysterious and historic atmosphere of the Latin Quarter.

On the first picture you can see a view from my room on a little street in Latin Quarter, then interior of my room located on the 4th floor. If you prefer cold colours like green or blue you should ask for a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor. I personally prefer warm colours, they always make me happier. On the third picture a classic french breakfast. It’s always fun to eat it on that typicall Parisian balcony, it tastes better, no?

Above, a few shots from Men’s Fashion Week. First one from No Editions presentation. Parisan interiors are incredible! Then Henrik Vibovsk show with a pool and balet dancers splashing the water in the middle of runway. It was a stunning performance!

On the third picture my shot of Luke White after walking Paul Smith runways show during the last day of fashion week ( click here to see my other shots from Men’s Fashion Week ). And last shot , uhm … me seeing Notre Dame cathedral for the first time in my life. I was impressed!

A few shots from Montmartre. I’m not a romantic girl, but I love Montmartre like crazy. It’s beautiful and magical! And what I love the most are these little streets out of the touristic part of the area, so closer to Chatea Rouge metro station. On the last picture Xavier smoking cigarettes after doing his first runways show.

Thank you to Snaptraveller for a great trip to Paris! Francois for a motorbike ride in Paris ( it was unreal ) and lovely Acielle from STYLE DU MONDE for the beautiful streetstyle shots of me while running away from the rain in Saint Germain!

Palais de Tokyo

As much as I love black clothes, I felt great wearing this green ensemble in Paris during fashion week in February. There is something special about bottle green, it’s fresh, photogenic but still classy and not too bold. We took these pictures in Palais de Tokyo after Acne show. It was very windy, and my skirt was moving up and down. Hope you like the pictures! xx

Le Marais

Posted on March 27, 2014

Let’s go back to Paris once again,  to Le Marais to be exact, where we spent a lot of time during Paris Fashion Week last month. I was wearing a jacket and bag from Barbara Bui, made of denim printed leather ( check out denim leather s/s14 collection here), old skinny jeans with Pollini by Nicholas Kirkwood Odette heels. It started to rain heavily during our photoshoot, so we had to take pictures in literally  two minutes . So annoying.
During my last day in Paris I went for a walk to 3rd arrondissement. It was my first time there and I found it really beautiful. Reminds me of Cracow and Kazimierz an old jewish district. I promised myself to explore it more when I’m next time in Paris.
