Uniqlo x Lemaire

There is no better place to shop for basic clothes than Uniqlo. Especially when teamed up with the Parisian brand Lemaire for the 2016 Spring/Summer collection, after their success of collaboration last fall. I had a chance to shoot a few pieces before they hit the stores: the white deep v-neck jumper and the red sleeveless dress, both made from comfortable and the most carefully selected materials. I just can’t wait for the summer to wear this dress outside with my favorite pair of sandals or even flip flops. Minimalism is just what I feel like in terms of my spring/summer wardrobe. Uniqlo x Lemaire collection will be available first at Uniqlo.com March 3rd at 11pm and in selected stores from March 18th, you’d better get ready!

If you travel a lot from one city to another, then you become a master in planning your trip and how to make it quick and comfortable enough. From choosing the best airlines, to the transport from the airport to the city centre of your destination. To be honest, when I’m planning a trip for fashion week, for example to Paris or New York, I spend hours in front of my computer organising it, booking tickets, choosing the right times etc. Especially with New York where I’ll be flying next week for fashion week. My trip is almost organised ( yay! ) and I couldn’t be more excited. I usually fly by British Airways, occasionally with Virgin Atlantic. Feeling safe on long distance flights for me is a priority. Then I use Blacklane , a global driver service available in the biggest cities around a world, to pick me up from the airport and drop off at the hotel I’m staying. It’s so important to have a comfortable ride with with my heavy suitcase ( or two.. ) while having a chat with the nicest drivers in NYC. After a long 8 hour flight from London to New York I’m the most talkative person in the world If you’re planning any trips to Paris, New York, LA, Rome or anywhere else ( check available cities ) I definitely recommend you use Blacklane – you can book your ride before your trip here. And yes, NYC, I’m coming for you next week! Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram and snapchat for live updates. x

No point denying it, it’s freezing cold in London! I don’t even know what is better, 0 Degrees without snow as in London or even colder but with snow. I would rather stay with the London option, because I can at least choose and wear my favourite shoes. These are not any type of snow boots, or even ankle boots. Sandals are my favourite kind of shoes, especially when matched with winter clothes for a good balance. I don’t mind adding to them some black over the knee socks too.
But coming back to the photos below, I’m wearing a perfect black dress from Privacy Please, the new brand available exclusively in Revolve Clothing. What I love the most about their dresses is a great girly fit and also soft, very comfy fabrics – that’s exactly what I want to put on every morning without even thinking and planning what to wear that day. I added to it a blue sheepskin jacket and Raye sandals, also available exclusively on Revolve Clothing.
Another advantage of the low temperature in London is that streets are empty, it’s much easier to take photos without too many people in the background. My next stop is Paris, Men’s Fashion Week in three days. Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram and snapchat for live updates, straight from the runways!

Winter jacket / Portobello Road

Fur coat is the only variant of outwear I deem acceptable to wear in the winter. I’ve always hated winter for this reason, big, baggy, shapeless coats everyone wears. Now, fur coats is a different story. They always look extravagant, no matter what shape or colour. They can transform a simple jeans & t-shirt outfit into a runway ensemble, making the wearer look expensive and chic. Another thing is, fur is actually the only outwear that will keep me warm. All the wool in the world couldn’t make the goosebumps on my fragile silhouette disappear, but fur is a miracle, instantly makes me warm and helps survive the cold months.
I grew up in Poland, where in the winter, the temperature would go down to -20 degrees at times, and I remember clearly, how my mum and granny would tell me: “Alice, make sure you get yourself a nice fur coat when you grow up to keep you warm for the rest of your days”. The family wisdom always checks out. Now I’m in my 20s and a proud owner of 4 beautiful fur coats. I wear them in turns, whichever suits the outfit and the weather. Although I wouldn’t say no to a 5th member to join my little furry family. I like to plunder farfetch.com in search of the next fur coat. So far I have my eye on THIS  and THIS  . Maybe Santa will bring me one, I was a good girl, I promise.
We took these photos on Portobello Road during one of the warm and sunny days. I’m really happy with the London weather at the moment, it almost feels like summer is approaching, not winter. But I don’t mind 15 degrees and sun right now.

Denim dungarees / Soho

You know how much I love denim, from skinny jeans, high-waisted blue jeans to denim jackets. But I’ve been looking for the perfect pair of dungarees for quite a long time. Finally found them, while doing a little shopping in Soho in New York last September. I popped into the Paige store in Soho. It was love at first sight. It took me some time to photograph them for the blog though, 4 months to be exact. Also in Soho, but this time in London, not New York. I was wearing them with a white boho top, Louis Vuitton Twist bag from the Cruise collection and Daniel Wellington watch. You can never go wrong with a classic black leather-strap watch. It’s a timeless piece that will return to season after season. What’s more you can get it ( in any other style and colour ) 15% OFF with a code ‘alicepoint’ at checkout. Happy shopping & Happy weekend! x
