When I was looking for the inspiration to create this post I flicked through a few magazines, and nothing. Then I went to a few websites and nothing. So finally it dawned on me when I was watching Coco Before Chanel movie. Hence the idea of a short, loose, tweed wannabe jacket. The shape and colour remind me strongly of those from Chanel campaigns from the 90’s. The fact that the jacket is short is very ‘me’ because it add a modernity and it’s sexy too. The skirt, I must admit is new mainly because of the uncovincional lenght but I find it suits me quite well and I was suprised how comfortable I felt wearing it. Well, actually last time I had something similiar on was in Paris last year ( click here ), but this skirt is much more of a penciled one than the other.
Since we are on this Chanel theme golden accessories are essential. I think these from Akollekt combine modernity with timelessness of gold. They are a new view on jewelllery and frankly absolutely amazing.
The pictures were taken in Portobello yesterday, which is not very Coco and French but nevertheless compliment my style and sense of aesthetics. Have a lovely week! x

London Fashion Week has now officially started! And which better way to kick it off than to get well pampered and looking fabulous. I paired up with Max Factor make up artists to create my own perfect fashion week skin look. During my personalised ‘skin session’ at St Martin’s Lane Hotel, Caroline Barnes, a Max Factor make up artist, showed me how to create a radiant, luminous base using simple products as Max Factor Skin Luminizer. It’s actually extra important during LFW to look good on and off camera so a good skin is crucial. Don’t forget to follow me on instagram (@alicezielasko) for more LFW magic.

Calvin Klein Jeans

This Calvin Klein sweatshirt from the CK for My Theresa collection is such a classic piece! It takes me back to that 90s vibe I’m so in love with. I mixed it up with white jeans instead of the expected blue. I feel 90s were all about colours other than the expected ones. Blue jeans weren’t blue, shirts came in other colours, there was a lot of playing around with the garment stereotype. Along with white skinny jeans that you all are familiar with, I wore converse shoes. These are timeless classics, and I think no wardrobe is complete without a pair. They are comfy and light, absolutely perfect for the summer. They make me feel like a girl next-door, laid back, California girl. As to the pictures, I have to say it, even though I don’t usually talk about the photo itself, but this time I’m so proud of it. The balance of whites and greys is broken by that one little lonely orchid on the steps. It looks gorgeous and I’m so proud of these photos. They are really arty, exactly the way I like it! Now I’m in NYC for a few days, so make sure you keep up to date with my journey on instagram.

Ladies and Gents brace yourselves, for this is the best biker jacket I have ever had. AllSaints and I have a long lasting love relationship ( remember my trip to NY last February here ) and I always sit on the edge of my chair when the new collection kicks in. And I have never been let down.

Right now I’m packing for NYC tomorrow and I can’t imagine my American style checklist without this beauty. Especially sine my last trip to the city that never sleeps was made very special by AllSaints. It’s only 5 days but I swear I will miss those Piccadilly Circus  lights every day.  But for now farewell London I shall see you soon, NYC I’m coming !

I think I’m the only girl in town who loves extremely high temperatures. People around me complain about hot weather in London being too hot for the last few days – it’s 30 Degrees, and for me it’s absolutly perfect. Being able to wear shorts and cropped tops is the best thing I could imagine. That’s why I’m always so jealous of people that live in LA, who can have it almost all year round. But let’s go back to London! I was asked by Shoptrotter, an online shopping guide to create a route with my favourite shops in London. I thought was such a great idea, because a lot of you ask me about the best stores in London to buy clothes & accessories. I have lived here for two years now and feel I’m the the right person to recommend some cool spots around. Especially if you are visiting London for a few days only and don’t have a lot of time to explore everything. London is a huge city, there are so many shopping areas, but in my opinion not all of them are shopping friendly (like for example Covent Garden which I avoid whenever possible). So now you can check my route ( an extra photo reportage soon) on Shoptrotter. I’ll be updating it soon, so make sure to visit it regulary.
