Stella McCartney mohair sweater

Posted on November 26, 2013

I realised some time ago, that I haven’t taken any outfit photos in Portobello for a long time, which is actually my neighbourhood where I spend most of my time. For me, it’s the most inspiring place in London. Time goes its own way here. It’s almost like a village, you can live here, work and get all things done. Beautiful architecture, colourful houses, cute little shops, cafes and people always make me feel happy. Now, let’s talk about my outfit. I’m wearing the cosiest Stella McCartney mohair sweater I’ve ever had. It’s absolutely a perfect piece to wear during cold days. This time I matched it with black skinny jeans, black boots and a new bag from Kurt Geiger.

I would also like to introduce you to Vestiaire Collective, an online platform where you can buy and sell designer clothes, bags, shoes and other accessories. You can find amazing pieces from designers like Alexander Wang, Celine, Chanel, Stella McCartney and many others. I’m sure it happens very often, that you realise you absolutely need a pair of shoes, a bag or some other piece, that is sold out in every store around the world. Then you browse thousands of online stores in hope that maybe there is one last item in your size, but in fact you find nothing. Vestiare Collective is the best place to buy all of these last season ‘must have’ pieces, but also current season collections at great prices. What’s more, it’s a platform where you can sell stuff you don’t wear anymore in the easiest possible way.

White coat

Posted on November 19, 2013

I have a thing for big oversized coats. I have a few in my closet and I do wear them quite a lot. The only thing with them is that sometimes they may look a bit shapeless so you need to be really careful what you wear them with to avoid the ‘blob’ look. The coat from the pictures is so girly and innocent that I had to come up with something to make it look a bit me style, with a bit of edge & a bit of elegance at the same time. The lacy cabaret-like shorts are a good counterbalance to the innocence of the coat. I really like them, they are fierce and sexy.

I tied the coat with a belt when its buttoned up to give it a bit more shape and edge. I think it looks good. What do you think?

My new Sophie Hulme pony tote  is  heaven. I have developed an unhealthy obsession with these bags and I currently have two, and they are my favs. The best selection of Sophie Hulme bags you can find in Young British Designers.

Below the knee

Posted on November 6, 2013

If you follow me on Instagram you could see black and white images I’ve been posting everyday last week. It’s a part of a project I participated in with All Saints and their black and white campaign ‘Below the knee’, which promoted new womens footwear collection inspired by the New York fetish scene. To celebrate the collection, a video was produced. It was such a cool idea, it was mostly ‘glued together’ snapshots of b&w pics with shoes and nice floors. I loved it. For the project we were supposed to pict two of our favs from the collection. I just could not resist classic black high heels, which are such an essential in every woman’s closet. I wore them with a chunky camel jumper, black skinny jeans and favourite tote from Sophie Hulme. It’s all about pink and camel this season. I like powder pink, though I picked camel. It’s more classy and timeless. And it suits my blonde hair without making me look like a little candy.

And ! About my hair ! I got it redone, as you can see. Destination – Easton Regal of course which has been handling my hair for the past few months. I decided to ditch white blonde (so I don’t blend in with the snow to come and put in some darker highlights in attempt to go back to my natural deeper shade of blond. Thanks a bunch Easton, you guys are the best!

denim & tartan

After a few very cold days in London, a friendly and much warmer autumn has come back. Okay, I’m not talking about the rain or clouds, because they’re here almost everyday. Higher temperature makes me happy because I can wear most of my favorite clothes without bothering to layer up. To be honest, I don’t like outerwear and layers. Even thinking about wearing more than 2 layers makes me feel uncomfortable.
On the picutures below you can see my two, new, favourite pieces from my wardrobe. First is a checked shirt (I love its babydoll shape!) The second one, are loose fit blue jeans which go well with practically everything. You can be sure to see me wearing them often these days.

Liverpool Street

Posted on October 11, 2013

I’m back in London, but half of my heart stayed in Paris. We took these photos last Sunday on Liverpool Street. I like to compare different cities. So when it comes to London you can’t even know if it’s a working day or Sunday. It is always busy, people work (hard) here every day. See those running people behind me. Maybe that’s why I sometimes forget what day it is today… I don’t really count them.

In Paris it’s different. Sunday is a day when people stay at home and can take a rest. Like in Poland, I would say. The streets are almost empty. We wanted to buy a fresh baguette in Paris on Sunday, but most bakeries were closed. Since I moved to London I forgot that groceries can be closed. Shame on me!

Back to my outfit. I was wearing Sandro sweatshirt which I also spotted on Stockholm Streetstyle in Paris two weeks ago, a black pleated skirt, Sophie Hulme tote and Kurt Geiger boots. And I promise you (and myself as well) that I will try to wear more colorful clothes next month, not only black.
