Lately I have been feeling blue. Not in a conventional sense, but very blue, dressed in blue head to toe. I have always liked my denim and now I like to have more blue to match my blue jeans. Okay, almost. Accessories have to stay classy and in traditional colours. I’m wearing my new Proenza Schouler mules via Avenue32 and Louis Vuitton Sac Trangle Monogram bag from Fall 2015 show. Speaking about Louis Vuitton, I had a pleasure to attend a private tour of the Louis Vuitton Series 3 Series exhibition in London prior to its opening. It depicted Nicolas Ghesquière’s thought process and ideas leading to the creation of the amazing Fall 2015 women show. And I dream about this gorgeous white fur coat from the collection every night.

Oh suit! Long time no see! I have totally forgotten about suits, and what a shame too, because a few years back I owned a whole assortment of them in different fits and colours. This one is from Reiss. It has slim fit, balances on the verge of deep plum and burgundy, and is classy enough that I feel like I’m wearing black although I actually play the funk in this beauty. I wore a simple white t-shirt with it. This is, and has always been my number one rule with suits: break the stiff look with a casual white t-shirt. The most important thing is to make the look elegant, but at the same time modern and even a little bit sexy. I’d love to know your tricks on how to style the suit!
I wish summer would last forever. Those warm sunny days in London are the ones I look forward to all year. I usually spend them in a park reading magazines or catching a tan and some freckles, because let’s be honest, there is no sun here from October until I would say March. The rest of the time I meet with my friends for a little picnic or just for a glass of wine, because there is nothing more proper in London than throwing a picnic party in a park. I was lucky enough to be sent two bottles of the new Gallo Family Vineyard Spritz, one Pineapple & Passionfruit and second Raspberry & Lime, to enjoy with my friends. Personally I loved Raspberry & Lime the most, not only because of it’s colour (yeah, girls like pink) but I really enjoyed its natural juicy raspberry and zesty lime flavours. Although my friends preferred the Pineapple & Passionfruit flavoured bottle. The delicious flavours were the perfect way to enjoy some light and fruity drinks whilst celebrating the weather, catching up and spritzing our summer.
And you know what? We had the best afternoon together for a long time. What’s more, the weather was surprisingly good. I say good, what it means in London: no rain, no wind and sunny. I wish summer would last the whole year and I could spend more afternoons like this. But in the mean time, as autumn creeps by, I might stash a bottle to remind me of those warm days, because to me, Gallo Family Vineyard Spritz is like summer in a bottle.

This dress cought my eye in February when I spotted Alexa Chung wearing it for Unique show in Tate Britain during London Fashion Week. It hit the store a few months later and got sold out in one day. Alexa made it so popular, that’s a fact, but it’s also beautiful and I’m not surprised it was gone so quickly. This time I matched it with black boots to break that romantic appeal and make it more edgy. And of course my new fav babe, Chloe Faye in black. Even though Faye bags are not very practical – it is heavy and space inside is very small – I found Faye as one of the most beautiful bags from current season.
And a question for you! Guess where we took these photos?

Firstly I wanted to apologise to you for only posting basic outfits lately. But it’s summer now, and that’s what I feel best in. You know when it’s hot and you don’t want to overcomplicate your clothes so you only throw on jeans and a t-shit and go out to enjoy the sun? Well its like that for me lately, so to all of you who like when I look more feminine or wear something more exotic than this basic duo, I’m sorry! So I was wearing a white ribbed top and new favourite jeans from a Neuw Denim. They are so raw and crude, I love them. It’s 100% jeans in jeans. It doesn’t get any better than this. Neuw Denim is an Australian-Swedish brand, which is a definite must know. I had an absolute pleasure to take part in their summer party in Shoreditch a few days ago and meet the creative director of the brand. If you live in London you can go try them on at the pop up story in Harvey Nichols.
You’re also probably wondering where we shot these pictures. Well, to put you out of your misery, right here in London, 5 minutes away from my house. It reminds me of Highlane in Meatpacking District, NYC, but it’s actually beautiful and under appreciated humble Little Venice Canal in London. I love it in the summer, I often sit on the bank and sunbathe. It’s so un-Londony and pretty exciting. Tomorrow I’m shooting off to Berlin with Olympus, make sure you’re following me on Instagram @alicezielasko and Snapchat @aliceziel. Have a great week!
