Chelsea, New York

New York always makes me the happiest girl in the world. I love its vibe, the people, the architecture, the food, the style and everything else. This time I came to New York for fashion week and had an absolute pleasure to stay in Park Central New York Hotel, located in the heart of Manhattan in Midtown. Just a few minutes walk from Lincoln Center where most of the shows took place or 10 minutes by cab to Chelsea and Soho. Ok, I can’t lie, it was freaking cold in New York during my whole stay and it was difficult to travel by subway, even though I love New York subway (probably I’m the only one who does it ). This time I had to reduce spending my time outside to minimum, but every cloud’s got a silver lining. I got the best apartment in my hotel on the 15th floor with a large window view on Manhattan and Times Square. Not that I like such a touristic places as Times Square (actually I’ve never gone there for a walk) but I was absolutely impressed with this view. That moment when I could sit on the window, drink my morning coffee (usually at 6am, because of jetlag) and just watch what’s going on on the 7th Avenue when the city wakes up or afternoon sunsets over Manhattan which will stay in my memory for a long time. And no, I’m not a romantic girl, it was just breathtaking! Thank you Park Central NY for having us! And Tom for helping arranging my NYFW trip. Below you can see my favourite Instagram shots from my whole stay in NY.
Zimmermann show and my favourite collection ever. I could wear every single look.
That moment when I felt like Scarrlet Johansson in Lost in Translation. Only looking out over New York, not Tokyo.
Meli Melo Thela shearling bag, Saint Laurent glitter shoes ( I love these), Embryolisse cold cream and Soigne Nail Polish.
Saturday NYC in Soho, I’ve been just keeping warm, -20 Degrees outside was pretty painful for my body.
3.1 Phillip Lim show was stunning!
Bagel in Grand Central Market, a little cafe in my hotel. Because the best bagels are made in NYC.
My look for Tibi show, this orange Jocelyn fur accidentally matched the street behind me.

I love fur. I was always a girl dreading winter and what came with it shapeless coats and asexual outwear. I felt that I could never really be myself in the winter, because I never found any coat that would be ‘me’, and I always felt like I was wearing a garbage bag. This all changed thankfully, this winter when I got this patchwork fur coat. It was sexy and chic, and for the first time in years I felt really myself wearing it outside. Also I forgot to mention, I love Sex and the City and I never forgot the scene when Carrie puts a fur coat over her pyjamas and rushes to Miranda’s house on New Year’s Eve. Since then I bought a few more, and recently this one here – the patchwork gem on my furry kingdom. It’s sexy, edgy and very me. I wore it with AllSaints leather skirt and Rodarte top, to loosen up the elegance factor of the outfit.
On another note, as you probably know, I’m in NYC for fashion week! Make sure you follow me on Instagram to see what I’m up to during my stay. Oh and keep your fingers crossed, it freezing cold here. Although thanks to my furry army, I might just keep warm enough.
So head over to Elle’s website to see the full story here. And I hope the fun doesn’t end there! I am now off for a month of travelling between fashion weeks, with my camera safely in my luggage. To me photography is like smoking, once you had a first taste, you would want to have more!
Have a lovely weekend guys!
