Calvin Klein Jeans

This Calvin Klein sweatshirt from the CK for My Theresa collection is such a classic piece! It takes me back to that 90s vibe I’m so in love with. I mixed it up with white jeans instead of the expected blue. I feel 90s were all about colours other than the expected ones. Blue jeans weren’t blue, shirts came in other colours, there was a lot of playing around with the garment stereotype. Along with white skinny jeans that you all are familiar with, I wore converse shoes. These are timeless classics, and I think no wardrobe is complete without a pair. They are comfy and light, absolutely perfect for the summer. They make me feel like a girl next-door, laid back, California girl. As to the pictures, I have to say it, even though I don’t usually talk about the photo itself, but this time I’m so proud of it. The balance of whites and greys is broken by that one little lonely orchid on the steps. It looks gorgeous and I’m so proud of these photos. They are really arty, exactly the way I like it! Now I’m in NYC for a few days, so make sure you keep up to date with my journey on instagram.

Ladies and Gents brace yourselves, for this is the best biker jacket I have ever had. AllSaints and I have a long lasting love relationship ( remember my trip to NY last February here ) and I always sit on the edge of my chair when the new collection kicks in. And I have never been let down.

Right now I’m packing for NYC tomorrow and I can’t imagine my American style checklist without this beauty. Especially sine my last trip to the city that never sleeps was made very special by AllSaints. It’s only 5 days but I swear I will miss those Piccadilly Circus  lights every day.  But for now farewell London I shall see you soon, NYC I’m coming !

I think I’m the only girl in town who loves extremely high temperatures. People around me complain about hot weather in London being too hot for the last few days – it’s 30 Degrees, and for me it’s absolutly perfect. Being able to wear shorts and cropped tops is the best thing I could imagine. That’s why I’m always so jealous of people that live in LA, who can have it almost all year round. But let’s go back to London! I was asked by Shoptrotter, an online shopping guide to create a route with my favourite shops in London. I thought was such a great idea, because a lot of you ask me about the best stores in London to buy clothes & accessories. I have lived here for two years now and feel I’m the the right person to recommend some cool spots around. Especially if you are visiting London for a few days only and don’t have a lot of time to explore everything. London is a huge city, there are so many shopping areas, but in my opinion not all of them are shopping friendly (like for example Covent Garden which I avoid whenever possible). So now you can check my route ( an extra photo reportage soon) on Shoptrotter. I’ll be updating it soon, so make sure to visit it regulary.

Laundry Stories

I’m definitely in the summer mode after two trips to Paris and coming back to London. That means nothing other than shorts and t-shirt kind of outfit. The weather is quite good in London, only that stupid rain from time to time spoils it. I can’t complain though, living in Notting Hill makes happy no matter what. We took these pictures in the late afternoon yesterday. It was 8 pm and the sun light was breathtaking.
I was asked by The Berkeley to write a tip on what to do in London this summer. As you know I’m a ‘girl from the west’ so definitely what I want to recommend is visiting Notting Hill and Portobello. Especially if you are not from UK, then I’m sure you will be impressed by architecture, people, cute little shops along Portobello Road and great cafes and restaurants. I have a few favourites: swedish restaurant Lisa Portobello, Talk House cafe, Daylesford Organic or Granger & Co. Notting Hill is also a great area to do some shopping, here you will find brands like Sandro, Maje, Matches, Aime (with Isabel Marant clothes and other French brands) or Joseph.

Ps. I’m writing this post while listening and watching Saint Laurent SS15 runway show from Paris almost 10th time. It’s so great! Not only the collection inspired by California in the 70’s , rock music, surf culture and hippie style but also runway soundtrack gets me going!
Ps. 2 Other cool news, we are doing a Yard Sale this Saturday ( 12 July ) together with Shini, Charlie, Peony, Hedvig and Carrie. You can pop in and buy some cool stuff from our wardrobes. It takes place in The Aubaine, Moxhon Street ( nearest station Baker Street). Hope to you guys there! x

Paris, Men’s Fashion Week

I want to share with you some pictures I took in Paris during my last trip for Men’s Fashion Week. I had a really great time, as always in Paris. Actually I’ve never had any feeling that it gets me bored, it  inspires me so I always come back to London with new ideas .

I had a pleasure to stay in Le Lapin Blanc Hotel, a lovely boutique hotel located in the Latin Quarter near Odeon Station, just around a corner from Saint Germain. What’s more it turned out that a few shows like Hermes, Y-3 or Lanvin were located just a few minutes walk.

Also, there is a very interesting story contected with the design and interior of the hotel. This is nothing other than Alice in wonderland fairy tale, about Alice who inhabits this place in search of her white rabbit. What a coincidence, I can identify with this story altogether! Each floor has different colour, walls are layered with colorful drawings taking us for the time of a dream in the mysterious and historic atmosphere of the Latin Quarter.

On the first picture you can see a view from my room on a little street in Latin Quarter, then interior of my room located on the 4th floor. If you prefer cold colours like green or blue you should ask for a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor. I personally prefer warm colours, they always make me happier. On the third picture a classic french breakfast. It’s always fun to eat it on that typicall Parisian balcony, it tastes better, no?

Above, a few shots from Men’s Fashion Week. First one from No Editions presentation. Parisan interiors are incredible! Then Henrik Vibovsk show with a pool and balet dancers splashing the water in the middle of runway. It was a stunning performance!

On the third picture my shot of Luke White after walking Paul Smith runways show during the last day of fashion week ( click here to see my other shots from Men’s Fashion Week ). And last shot , uhm … me seeing Notre Dame cathedral for the first time in my life. I was impressed!

A few shots from Montmartre. I’m not a romantic girl, but I love Montmartre like crazy. It’s beautiful and magical! And what I love the most are these little streets out of the touristic part of the area, so closer to Chatea Rouge metro station. On the last picture Xavier smoking cigarettes after doing his first runways show.

Thank you to Snaptraveller for a great trip to Paris! Francois for a motorbike ride in Paris ( it was unreal ) and lovely Acielle from STYLE DU MONDE for the beautiful streetstyle shots of me while running away from the rain in Saint Germain!
